Strike action threatens beer deliveries




The Unite trade union has announced a strike that could affect up to 30,000 pubs and other wholesale alcohol customers including the House of Commons and Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, reported The Times. Almost 1,000 workers will go on strike next Wednesday for 24 hours at Kuehne & Nagel Drinks Logistics, which has contracts to deliver alcohol and soft drinks to clients such as Downing Street, the Home Office and Heathrow.
