Eight firms interested in Ennore terminal project
Eight firms have evinced keen interest in developing a multi-cargo terminal at Ennore Port at a cost of US$22.74 million and submitted Request for Qualification (RfQ) proposals, reported the Hindu. As per the proposal, the selected bidder has to design, build, finance, operate and transfer the multi-cargo terminal for a concession period of 30 years. The terminal will have a quay length of 270m to handle two million tonnes of bulk and project cargoes such as turbine and generators, windmills, fertilisers and wooden logs.
